2021 Commitment Program
The Center for Spiritual Living Asheville’s Commitment Program is the way our Center members and friends tell us how much financial support they intend to contribute each year. The Center’s operational spending plan is based on what we collectively commit to give during the coming year. By making a commitment, the Center is able to develop a realistic budget.
Where does money I give to the Center go?
Your support of the Center pays for day-to-day operational expenses, including our tithe, staff salaries, building and facility costs, Sunday services for those who join us here or wherever they are in the world, our children’s programs, and the cost of providing space for the multitude of groups and activities that use our facilities throughout each week.
What is tithing and why is it 10%?
Tithing means giving the first 10% of your income to the place where you are spiritually fed. It’s an ancient spiritual practice referred to in the Bible. Tithing is a way to put your spiritual quest first in your life and to practice trusting the Divine as your source. It is also a practice used successfully by many prosperous people today and throughout history.
Should I make a commitment even if I only come occasionally or I am an online supporter?
If Center for Spiritual Living, Asheville, has a positive impact on your life, we encourage you to make a financial commitment. Your support allows us to serve everyone here and to have an influence in the lives of people around the world.
*Note: If you have checked either of the first two boxes above, a representative of the Center will contact you by phone to secure your payment information.
