While the purpose of Father’s Day is commonly thought to be honoring our fathers, John takes us on a journey of healing around our relationships with our fathers. He explores the most common thoughts that he has run across about fathers and points out that as children we were co-conspirators in that relationship. Finally, John shares a poignant moment reading a poem and informs us that he’s never met a father who didn’t think that he could have done better as a dad, known better what to say, how to help more, and been there more. (6/16/2019)
