Every so often, we need to reevaluate what is important. Things are on a sliding scale between urgent and not urgent, and they are also on a scale between important and not important. Those things that are urgent and important obviously need to be done first. Secondly, the things that are important but not urgent should be given some planning and energy so that they might have some forward movement. The not important but nevertheless urgent matters should be delegated, if possible. Lastly, the not important and not urgent things should probably just go in the trash can. This might not look like what we planned or expected. So our job is to adapt and learn to live the life we are meant to live.
